Senior Spotlight: Cody Andis

Senior captain Cody Andis leads the boys soccer team in neon green as they run for a picture.

“While we may have not won many games this year, we have pushed each other to our very best in order to get better. I am personally very proud of the team, and I am happy that I can leave as a senior knowing that I made a positive impact and that the team has a bright future.” says one of the senior captains of the Riley Boys Soccer Team, Cody Andis.

Cody has played soccer from a young age, often playing year round on travel teams. He mainly took the role of goalie, but played on field sometimes as well. He is a very positive player on and off the field and he attributes his growth to being able to help and lead the underclassmen.

Cody has made much improvement since he started and has continued to train with the team throughout the struggle of the COVID 19 pandemic. He has helped rebuild the team in the past years with a new coach and believes that the Riley team has a bright future ahead. Cody takes much pride in being a soccer player and is incredibly proud of the team, especially with many of the underclassmen being inexperienced players. Due to Cody’s and many of the other leaders, the team has improved tremendously throughout the season. Thank you Cody for all your time and dedication put into the team the past four years.
