What’s Trending #6

Welcome back, Wildcats! Today, we’re going to be digging into a streaming service that has a lot to offer. Peacock has quite a number of programs to watch, considering NBC has had a pretty huge lineup for years. So, without further ado, let’s get into it!

First up, obviously, The Office is on Peacock. I don’t think I even need to explain that one. If you haven’t already been watching The Office, that’s a conscious choice at this point. Seniors especially, start combing through episodes to find that perfect Michael Scott quote to use as your senior quote.

Next up is a show that I personally think deserved a lot more attention, and that would be A.P. Bio. It’s about a defunct Harvard professor who ends up teaching an Advanced Placement Biology class. Except he isn't actually going to teach them any biology (I’m sure any of the AP course takers here aren’t jealous of someone’s AP class secretly being a blow-off class). Instead, with the help of his clearly smart students, he decides to seek revenge on those who’ve wronged him in the past. It’s a funny show, and I mean come on, who, if given the opportunity, wouldn’t recruit a bunch of AP kids to help ruin someone’s life? (Jokes, jokes.)

Now guys, this wouldn’t be a What’s Trending if we didn’t talk movies, and boy oh boy do I have news for you. Peacock has the Despicable Me movies on its service!  Before you ask, yes, that does include Minions: Rise of Gru. If you weren’t able to take part in the “gentleminions” trend (whether that's because the theater banned the trend or you just didn’t have the time to), you can dress up in your best suit and tie and enjoy it from the comfort of your own home!

Last but not least, Amazon Music is offering us another chart-topping hit. Today we’re talking about “Lift Me Up,” by Rihanna, which is also in the new Black Panther movie. Not only is this one from one of the biggest new movies, but it also is some of the first new music we’ve had from Rihanna in a while!

And that wraps up this week’s installment of What’s Trending. We looked at two (of the many) sitcoms that Peacock has to offer us, as well as let you guys know that your favorite yellow, banana-loving dudes are on Peacock too. And of course, I let you know that Rihanna’s newest is a bop for sure. Next week we’ll be heading back on over to Netflix and Apple Music!

Till then, happy binging and Go Wildcats!
