Last time we were looking at Netflix. Today we're going to be looking at Amazon Prime Video and Music. Let's start with the show, shall we? One of the most popular Amazon Original shows is The Boys. A superhero series, The Boys is based on a comic of the same name. The show documents the Boys, a group focused on exposing a multi-billion dollar conglomerate that specializes in covering up all the misdeeds that some super "heroes" have done. With a 93% rating on Rotten Tomatoes, it's pretty clear this series is good. There are three seasons, so there are plenty of episodes for a nice little binge.
Looking for a movie to watch instead? Well, luckily I have a special treat for you. I'm recommending two movies for you this week! I have Amazon Prime Video, and there's a movie that came out a while ago. So, while it isn't a current trending film, I really liked it, so I figured I'd throw it in there. But first, the trends are calling! If you're a fan of action, sci-fi or military/war-style films, you should definitely check out The Tomorrow War. Chris Pratt stars in the film about time travelers from 2051 who come back to warn the world about an alien war that the Earth is losing. Chris Pratt ends up getting drafted for this war.
Not your speed? Well lucky for you, I have a very different recommendation for my second movie. A true heart-warmer, Map of Tiny Perfect Things has so many tiny perfect details, you'll be watching it more than once to pick up on things you missed the first time around. The film is about Mark, a boy trying to make the most of the fact that he's stuck in a time loop. He's doing fine, just as he pleases until he finds Margaret, who's also living outside of the repetition and can change what she does. If you want to know what happens to them, you should definitely give it a watch (or 3).
Finally, we've come to the music part. The current most played song on Amazon Music is BREAK MY SOUL by the Queen B herself, Beyonce. The hit off of her new album, RENAISSANCE, BREAK MY SOUL easily rose to the top of the charts. RENAISSANCE is her 7th album, and it's also the first album she's put out since 2016's Lemonade.
So there you have it. Your next binge-worthy show? The Boys takes the cake. One of the top songs of today? BREAK MY SOUL is ear candy for the masses. A movie to fit your mood?
