Do you want to keep up to date on the latest trends in movies, TV, and music? Well, you have definitely come to the right place. Every other week, I will be giving you all the rundown of the number one things to watch and listen to— highlighting a different platform each week. This week we are going to be focusing on Netflix and Spotify. Netflix is slowly falling off, but there are some shows and movies that seem to keep it alive and in our minds. According to collider.com, Netflix's Echoes is one of the best shows to watch right now. This miniseries details what happens when two identical twins swap lives. But problems arise for them when one of the twins suddenly goes missing. [Warning: This show is only intended for audiences 17 and up—this is for you, seniors.]

Are you looking for a movie instead? Check out The Starling (2021). Melissa McCarthy stars as Lilly in this comedy-drama movie. After she suffers a tragic loss, an aggressive Starling begins living near her home. It is a story about love, loss, and moving past grief, which is something we all have to deal with one time or another.

How about a song to listen to as you go about your day? One of the current top songs on Spotify is “As It Was” by Harry Styles, a track off of his new album that has quickly topped the charts. According to Styles, as he explained to NYLON.com, "The song is about metamorphosis, embracing change and former self, perspective shift and all that kind of stuff." We all changed through the course of the pandemic, some more than others, and this is a song that most of us can relate to.

Well, there you have it. If you are ready for your next binge-worthy show, check out Echoes. If you are looking to find your new favorite movie, make sure you look at The Starling. And of course, if you want to hear one of the top song of today, be sure to look at Harry Styles' “As It Was.” Next time, I will go over what the current "it" show, movie, and song from Amazon Prime Video and Amazon Music are.
