Whats New on Netflix This Fall?

As always, Netflix does not fail to surprise us all with it’s new series and seasons of all the great shows we know and love.

This fall, Netflix has blessed us all with so many new series and updated seasons. I'm sure you've all heard of the show Squid Game, you may be asking yourself, “What kind of name is that?” or “What is this show about?” Personally, I have not seen it, so I won't spoil anything for you. However, I will give a brief description.

According to IMBD, the new TV show is about “Hundreds of cash-strapped contestants accept an invitation to compete in children's games for a tempting prize, but the stakes are deadly.” Basically, a bunch of people who are in debt are sought out by millionaires to play these games for money, but if they lose any of the games they die. I have heard lots of things about this show and have even spoken to some students about it.

Adam High School and CTE student, Camille Pall, raves about the show by sayin, “Squid Game is really good. I love all of the plot twists! I cried like five times.”

Recently the fourth and final season of On My Block came out. According to AppleTV’s description, On My Block “follows a quartet of bright, street-savvy friends who are navigating their way through high school, including all of the triumph, pain and newness they experience along the way. Lifelong friendships are tested as Monse, Ruby, Jamal and Cesar confront the challenges of adolescence and life in their predominantly Hispanic and black neighborhood in South Central Los Angeles.”

It has been a while since they released Season 3 and we were all wondering if there was even going to be a 4th season. I started the 4th season the day it came out, but I haven't binged it. I've just been watching it little by little to savor it a little bit and so far it is pretty good. However, I hold my final review of the show for later, considering I'm only on the second episode and there's still lots to uncover. If you remember in the 3rd season, Monse left the group to go to a boarding school and since then the entire group basically went there separate ways—which is quite sad—but I still have hope that by the end of this season they'll all be friends again!

Finally, the third season of You came out October 15th and I have never been more excited to start a new season of a show. I recently binged the first two seasons to refresh my memory for when the third season came out and it helped me remember how much I love this show. There were so many plot twists and things none of us saw coming! Of course we cannot forget to acknowledge Mr. Joe Goldberg who never disappoints with the stalking and just over all being a psychopath. I feel like we all secretly wish we had a Joe in our life to love us unconditionally.

Have you binged any of these new TV shows yet? Let me know how you’re liking them and if you have any suggestions for other shows to preview or review!
