Football Spotlight: Ryan Kingston

Senior Ryan Kingston doesn’t want to—and won’t—stop his football-kicking career after high school. He has been recruited by many schools, including Ball State University and Indiana University, but has now officially committed and signed to Eastern Michigan University. This decision seemed to come rather easy to Kingston.

“They [EMU Coaches] had been building a relationship with me since November and even came to visit me at school. I also enjoyed the visit so much that I pretty much decided I wanted to go there before I even visited Ball State,” said Ryan when asked what his deciding factor was when picking his home for the next four years.

He is looking forward to playing in college stadiums and pushing himself beyond what he thought was possible, both physically and mentally. There is no doubt that Kingston has a bright future football career ahead of him as he already has quite the list of high school accomplishments including breaking multiple school records as well as being voted All-State and All-American.

Ryan has definitely made a legacy here at Riley High School. Despite all of his own hard work, he attributes and thanks many others for his success including his parents, older brother, coaches, teammates, Mr. Henderson, Mr. Gavin, and all of his teachers for their support and role in his life.

Congratulations Ryan and good luck on your future endeavors! Go Eagles and, as always, Go Cats!
